Private Milton Dunlap

Milton Dunlap enlisted as a private on March 7, 1862 at Chillicothe, Ohio.  Thirty years old, he joined what would become Company K of the 61st Ohio.  Dunlap served until May 23, 1865 when he was discharged at Columbus, Ohio.  Following the war Dunlap returned to Ross County, Ohio where he farmed.  In 1872 Dunlap was admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Dayton where he died on May 3, 1886.  Dunlap is buried at the Dayton National Cemetery.
